Hornets’ Rookie Kon Knueppel Is On FIRE 😳

The No. 4 overall pick is now averaging 19.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.9 assists, while shooting an absurd 43.8% from three. Knueppel has hit 63 three-pointers in his first 17 NBA games, the most ever by a rookie — and by a wide margin. The league’s newest sharpshooter is making history in real time.

It wouldn’t be a big surprise. He’s the favourite to win it. He just doesn’t get much hype like Flagg, but he’s better.

      @akritasdigenis4831 that’s a bold statement….overall Flagg is better…just isn’t showing his true potential…yet!

@pauljansen1137 ??? So your argument is based on potential but no on actual stats or output being produced by the players? 😂😂

    • @pauljansen1137

      November 25, 2025 at 6:50 pm

@LeonarRonquillo my argument is based on the fact that Flagg has been hugely hyped for a while now….and with reason, no?

Aaahh actually 🥸 he misses precisely 51% of the time… which is exactly less than half of the time. So actually 🥸 he CAN miss and a lot too.

  8. @theodorekrause9058

    November 25, 2025 at 4:39 pm

Thumbnail says « can’t miss » I get the sports reference but he actually misses over 1/2 the shots he takes. Relax.

He was a nice college player, but I didn’t expect THIS.) It looks like he’s not athletic enough but that’s deceiving.

This guy was already a great shooter in college now with all the spacing he’s got at the NBA level it’s unlocking his potential. Very nice player for the Hornets. Already their best shooter.

  11. @akritasdigenis4831

    November 25, 2025 at 4:57 pm

Much better than Cooper Flagg, yet he gets much less hype.

    • @HuehuehueEsBest

      November 25, 2025 at 8:14 pm

I think you’re underestimating Cooper because of the hype and expectations. He’s averaging slightly worse numbers (albeit less efficiently) on a position he’s never played before and he’s younger. Plays better D than Kon too. If he wasn’t so hyped people would talk about him being quite good averaging 16/6/3 as an 18-year old rookie with good defense in his first NBA games.

Not to rag on Knueppel because he’s been fantastic, but people talk like Cooper is averaging 5 points a night.
