Sharife Cooper, the No. 48 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft out of Auburn University, knocked down a corner three-pointer as time expired in regulation to lift the Atlanta Hawks over the Indiana Pacers, 84-83. Cooper led the way for the Hawks with 21 PTS (5-8 3pt FG) and 9 AST, while Jalen Johnson added 18 PTS and 10 REB in the victory. Chris Duarte tallied 21 PTS and 7 REB for the Pacers in the losing effort. The Hawks improve to 1-1 in the Las Vegas Summer League, while the Pacers fall to 0-2.

    I’m super impressed with Jalen Johnson! There was a lot of questions surrounding him after he left Duke but man is he looking good so far. As for Sharife Cooper, he’s showing every team in the league that they shouldn’t have passed him up. Especially today!
