Spo better use struss and yurtseven for a purpose not bench them.

    • blatherskype25

      August 15, 2021 at 2:41 am

@Cotton Candy LoL Of course. We had so many players with Covid he had to rely on other players but that’s not how he usually is. He usually has weeks or months where a player wouldn’t get any playtime and then he’d put them in months later. One moment Olynyk would play for a couple weeks and then next thing you know he’s back in bench hibernation. Olynyk is just one of many players he’d do this to.

    • Cotton Candy LoL

      August 15, 2021 at 2:56 am

@blatherskype25 Olynyk is also an incredibly streaky player, and that is from a big KO fan. There are methods to the madness. In 19-20 season, Olynyk played huge minutes, and that was while sharing time with Meyers Leonard and DJJ. Spo rotates his guys a lot. He keeps many different starting rosters, but he does utilize all his players throughout the season. Even early in the 19-20 season (pre-covid) this was still the case. Hell, Knuun and Drob are great examples of this. They both came from Undrafted and now are staple players on the team (one now a nice deal with the Lakers, and one the highest payed undrafted player ever). This is because he gave them minutes.

@Cotton Candy LoL i also don’t know how many times you watch miami heat play. Sometimes i see good bench players being benched and not being used. But hey, we noticed what you don’t noticed and you noticed what we don’t noticed. We all have different opinions. Mac struss and that new center kid should get a lots of playing time to get their feet wet cuz they’re too good to be benching a lot of that’s whats going to happen but will see.

    • Cotton Candy LoL

      August 15, 2021 at 3:41 am

@W P I pretty much did not miss a game for the past 2 years, and if I did I watched the vod online somewhere. Not just highlights like many “fans”. Max Strus was played a lot last year. Spo and Riley have spoken many times about how talented they think Max is. They love his hustle and his attitude. He is only playing summer ball to condition and practice his on court leadership and communication. With that being said, I WANT “the new kid”, we will call him Y7, to get a ton of playing time. Sad thing is, we have Dedmon and Bam who WILL get the majority of the time (as they should, Heat are looking to be title contenders and they have been playing great). If Y7 was put in the 4 spot instead of center, he is directly competing with Markieff and PJ Tucker, which again, are two big time veterans who have already earned their minutes. On top of that, they are smaller and spread the court even more then Y7, which is the exact playstyle the Miami heat want. They got rid of DJJ and KO literally so they could go to the small-ball playstyle. Anyways, enough of that rant. Just don’t harp on one of the best coaches of all time just because of a silly take you have!

    • W P

      August 15, 2021 at 4:16 am

@Cotton Candy LoL Again, we have different opinions and i stand firm about my comment. I am not degrading coach Spo and i believe he is one of the best coaches out there but he makes mistakes too and makes no sense plays. We’re humans and nobody is perfect otherwise Miami would’ve won a lot of titles.

Skylar Mays game reminds me alot of Fred VanVleet. He’s effective on defense for his size and can hit deep threes when left open. Mays pushes the pace in transition. He has ability to playmake and get the team in their sets.
