The Grizzlies defeated the Pistons, 109-103 tonight in Detroit. Desmond Bane contributed a team-high 38 points to go with 7 rebounds 4 three pointers and 3 assists, with Jaren Jackson Jr. of the Grizzlies adding an additional 27 points (9-23 FG, 1-6 3P) in the game. Cade Cunningham finished with a team-high 25 points along with 9 rebounds for the Pistons in the losing effort. The Grizzlies improve their record to 46-32 with the win, while the Pistons fall to 43-35 for the season. The Pistons’ next game is Monday, 4/7/2025, against the Kings on the road (7:00 PM ET, NBA TV), while the Grizzlies continue their road trip on Tuesday, 4/8/2025, when they face the Hornets (7:00 PM ET, FanDuel Sports Network – Southeast – Charlotte/FanDuel Sports Network – Southeast – Memphis).

    They have to start getting Edey the ball when 6’7″ guys are on him LOL. Yes they have much better scorers but keep the defense honest. Big man can put it in the hoop too.

    Pistons are a great story, but these boys one (round) and done. Hopefully we at least get that elusive playoff game win.

      I don’t know, but I wouldn’t be too worried about that. The Pistons will be alright; there’s no need for them to rush themselves.

      They’ll definitely win at least 1 game, I were definitely missing some size in this game with Duren out, Cade looked quicker and smooth as always, he had a little rust sitting out, I’m not worried by this game, a couple shots go in for them and Bane misses 1 3 and it’s a whole different story, Bane was lighting it up and mostly everything was contested nearly as good as you can get to it without blocking, they altered his shots at the rim etc I thought the Pistons played great defense tonight, hustled well on defense to rotate etc.. I’m not worried we’ve seen this team knock off some good competition. They’ll figure it out and shake off the rust

    This was a MUST win for the grizzlies & they responded, Edey w/21 rebounds dominating & triple J doing him but Bane has been the most consistent player on the team!! They still have a lot of work to do tho’ ………just saying 🤔😐!!
