James Harden led all scorers with 35 points (9-25 FG, 15-15 FT), to go with 7 assists for the Rockets as they led wire-to-wire en route to a 121-119 victory over the Raptors tonight in Houston. Harden is averaging 40+ points over his last 26 games, the third-longest such streak in NBA history (E. Baylor with 33 games and W. Chamberlain with 515 games) and has scored 30+ points in 22 consecutive games, the 4th-longest such streak in NBA history (longest such streak since 1976-77), behind three separate streaks from Wilt Chamberlain (25 games, 31 games and 65 games).

Harden has been the outright leading scorer (for both teams) in each of his last 22 games, the third-longest streak of its kind in NBA history, behind Wilt Chamberlain (40 straight games in 1962) and Bob McAdoo (28 in 1975). Kawhi Leonard led the Raptors with a team-high 32 points (11-19 FG), to go with 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the losing effort. With the win, the Rockets improve to 28-20, while the Raptors fall to 36-15 on the season.

Leonard took 4 games off and still lost. Harden missing CP and Capella doesn’t get nights off.

Shout out Kenneth Faried. I knew he would fit in well with the Rockets. Key piece to stopping GSW.

Why don’t teams zero in on Hardens defense.? i’d isolate and back him down every time. A few nights of making him work both ends will neutralize his offense.

Wtf Max you smokin crack. Harden has to do it himself. 1st in scoring top five in assist s and steals. Curry playing with 3 to 4 allstars. What else does Harden have to do? Curry is great future hall of famer but if the warriors lose curry they can still win it all. If we lose Harden season over….
