Believe me I love basketball but not as much as I love Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. Sports are really great but it’s important that we do not turn this or anything else we’re passionate about into an idols. The Bible says that we are to worship God alone and nothing else, not to have any “Gods” or idols before me. We serve a mighty God who is holy and just, worthy to be praise. I heard this one line that I really like and has really stuck with me. We were all made created and made to worship something great, problem is we don’t know what that great thing to worship is so we turn to other things and substitute that instead of the one true God who formed us and knows more about ourselves than even we do.

Last game vs the T-wolves was one of the first times I think he had a 40 point game with 10+ assists. Usually it’s one or the other. If he’s dropping 40 it’s because his teammates shots aren’t falling.

Something about his latest 40 point game against the Timberwolves felt different (aside from winning obviously). Almost like he evolved or levelled up. Idk if he’ll have another game like it but it was cool to see.

We’re gonna look back and realize that 2023 Jokic was him at the peak of his powers. Crazy that the media got bullied out of giving him the mvp in 2023. Glad they made up for it in 2024
