As a Raptor fan… seeing Andrea Bargnani being picked… brings back so many angry feelings…
If we wanted a big man… LeMarcus Aldridge was right there… but no, our GM had a hard-on looking for the next Dirk…

So there’s a 50% chance the number one pick will be an all-time flop

      June 28, 2024 at 8:35 pm

I think only like 25% were huge flops. The other 25% decent but not 1st pick calibre.

I think we need a less binary definition of busts. Guys like Bogut, Wiggins, Manning and Big Dog weren’t really what you want from a #1 pick, but otherwise solid starters. They are no where near Bennett, Brown or Olowokandi levels of bad.

Some got injured and never lived up to the potential. A lot of “what if’s” in this.

the Spurs drafting David Robinson then getting Duncan in the first terrible season since drafting Robinson is actually diabolical.

and now, they have yet another unicorn.

    I keeps forgetting that D-Rose was a #1 pick

    • @DaveysWonderfulWorld

      June 30, 2024 at 9:46 pm

D-Rose is the biggest what if story of all time because man prime Derrick Rose in Chicago had the potential to be the next Michael Jordan but just like Robert Griffin III injuries plagued his season
