Modern players started realizing that the playoffs can be very tiring. So they should start shooting mid-range more often than threes.
The world is starting to heal.

Not just that, that’s gonna be open more. Coaches will strategize to take away the 3 and if they got a good rim protector your not gonna go far without a reliable midrange game

As a Clipper’s fan, this speaks to the gravity of KD. The way he draws defensive attention resulted in Dbook’s easy baskets. Also, that drop coverage on CP3 killed us. Every time we tried getting back in Phoenix had an answer. I’m sure Ty Lue will have a response in game three because it is hard to double KD when you have midrange guys like cp, ayton and booker who can kill us with Craig camping out in the corner. The big has to step up on the PNR and the help side D has to take the roll man. I know that leaves Craig in the corner, but I’m not sure what else can be done

Literally only one bucket in this video was a result of kd getting double teamed. Every other bucket was a tough shot d book created on his own. Thats such a dumb narrative. I understand you cant help off of Kd but thats true with every shooter in the nba. Book wouldve had the same spacing and success if landry shamet was standing where kd was.

@Bape I saw at least two in the fourth. Regardless, Kd has such a massive offensive presence that they can’t help off even for a second. They tried in the first half a bit and Torey Craig burned them. Also, it wouldn’t be the same for Landry Shamet. He doesn’t have the same arsenal Kd does. He is more of a shooter, whereas if you have to over commit on KD because you helped off of him, he can blow by you similar to how Booker did in the fourth. What I meant was that the Clippers had someone on him virtually all the time save for a few defensive lapses in the fourth

They doubled KD just about every time … worked on the first half but book came out firing in the 3rd … if they are going to keep doubling KD … he needs to do the same from opening tip in game 3

If you double booker or KD either way one of them will be open regardless so it’s basically pick your poison. Unless one of them of having a bad shooting night then yea a open floor want matter much if they miss! Greta game regardless. Let’s take one game from LA!
