It annoys tf outta me when the media says “vintage” when Derrick Rose has a 25+ point game. They’ve been doing shit since like 2014 bro. It’s tiring at this point. IMO he’s a better player now because he’s more polished in his offensive game because he’s not overly relying on athleticism. He literally averaged 18&5 off the bench in Detroit, even getting some All star votes. He was also a sixth man of the year finalist last year. He was part of the reason the Knicks had a really good year last year. He was the true leader of that squad when Randle was struggling in the playoffs. This “Derrick Rose is washed” narrative needs to stop because it’s not even remotely true. He’s proven for years that he still has a lot in the tank. He may not be the superstar/mvp level player that he once was, but it’s honestly impossible for him to do that with the amount of injuries he’s sustained. That shit takes a toll your body and I’m happy D Rose fought his way back.
