Dominic Hampton THANK YOU. People who havenβt watched the Raptors for more than 5 years will never understand the genesis of DeMar. Every offseason, he added something to his game. I remember as a rookie when he could only drive to the basket and dunk, and by the end he became arguably the best midrange scorer in the game and started shooting 3s and making a good amount of them. He took us from a potential lottery team to real playoff threats. I feel like if Nick Nurse was promoted a year or two earlier we would have gone a lot farther. Nick Nurse even said he would challenge DeMar defensively by making him guard the best player a few games in december and focus less on scoring (2 weeks before he got traded π)
