Capela was overcommited to keeping Paul towards that side of the floor, also his foot positioning was bad, he tried to step back with his left foot, had he drove off his right foot and had his left further back initially he could have cut Chris Paul off, he was ball watching. On the flip side Chris Paul did a masterful job of not advertising his intended direction as you can see his hip and foot alignment don’t give large tells as to which foot is going to come forward next, he does this by taking a slight hop forward to get weight down to explode to either direction. That made it an extremely hard read for Capela. Masterful Footwork by Paul.
