Celtics should sign-and-trade Kyrie Irving this offseason – Richard Jefferson | The Jump

Published

on

Jorge Sedano, Richard Jefferson and Stephen Jackson debut a new Jump segment called “The Departing,” talking about the future of the Boston Celtics, with Jefferson saying Kyrie Irving should be signed-and-traded, while Jackson says he and Jaylen Brown should stay and Danny Ainge should trade everyone else for Anthony Davis.

I would love to see Kyrie back with Lebron again. They should finish their careers together as a unit. However, adding AD to the celtics, while keeping Jalen Brown and Harford would get them out of the east for sure.

If the Celtics kept I.T and Crowder I think they would have a chip. Brown and Tatum for good scoring for 48 min a night. I.t and rozier for good point guard play for 48 min. Crowder and smart for good defence for 48 min. And Kyrie should’ve stayed in Cleveland, he would’ve been in the finals last year And he would’ve got the rebound Jr Smith got and one them game 1

If this were to happen Danny would love to sign n trade with the knicks. Kyrie gets his money and plays for a team he wants and the Celtics get something in return . You never know , they could expand the trade where Ny gets kyrie and another player or picks and Boston gets maybe The number #1 selection if that’s where Ny picks. It will be an exciting offseason for sure.

Keep brown, his offense is still raw but number dont lie he had more 30 point games than tatum, tatum had the skill but he lacks the aggresiveness, i like tatum last year but this year he played soft, brown is handle away from being a consistent 20ppg player, his post fadeaway already improved, play him 36 mins a game a develop him

The cap just said he thinks he going to resign with Boston or if not LA or NY and either knicks or nets. Wow what a fucken prediction. Seriously?? Those are basically the only teams and all teams possibly involved. Way to go out on a limb!! ?‍♂️

Kyrie should go to the spurs. If they keep all their pieces from this year and get Kyrie, being the spurs I don’t count them out of a championship.

Pelicans would be stupid to take tatum and some picks for AD, i like the ball, kuzma, Ingram, Hart and picks. All young and can definitely all become stars if guided right. Depending on how many picks they get from celtics

If kyrie wants to win where hes going he will not agree to a sign and trade….super max dollars are great but team hes going to will have to give up a lot to get him.. More importantly it will help the Celtics, fuck them

The Steph comparison doesn’t work though because Steph is a better passer and decision maker than Kyrie. When did have to be the guy who had to score and assist he averaged 24 & 8. GS system works well because Steph can do it all. Kyrie has the ability to pass but just not as good as Steph which is why he had trouble fitting in Brad Stevens system. They actually tried using Scary Terry and Marcus Smart as primary ball handlers and it didn’t work.

Because Kyrie would want to be traded to a pelicans team without AD. Stupid.

Sign and Trade ? I thought Kyrie is a free agent… Y would sign with boston and boston send me to a team i dont want to go to… See proof why not all ex basketball players need to have a job on a show.
