After trailing 56–52 at halftime, the Cavaliers erupted with a 24–0 run spanning from the final 31.1 seconds of the 2nd quarter to the 6:14 mark of the 3rd.

Donovan Mitchell powered the surge with 21 points on 8–9 shooting (including 2 threes) in the quarter overall. It marked his 5th playoff quarter with 20+ points, tying Stephen Curry and Jamal Murray for the most such quarters in postseason history.

Cleveland dominated the 3rd quarter 38–21 and now leads 90–77 heading into the 4th quarter of Game 4.
