The players are gonna be the downfall of the NBA…this whole mumbo jumbo is so that their players can “try”

They should have some kind of automatic first round bye if the winning team makes the playoffs or an automatic first round 2-0 lead..something man lol

The NBA League pass doesnt have any of the in season tournement games. You’re telling me the League is trying to get more people interest in the regular season by having to pay more fore these games?🗑

The tournament will make bench players step up as well particularly the younger ones in rookie contracts they need that money…

it’s a gimmick that means nothing and they’re bribing the players to approach it as if it’s the Playoffs. i really don’t care about it at all. when there are actual stakes, i’ll change my opinion on it

Lmao one huge problem is that the trickle down theory never really works the way it’s supposed to. If it did we wouldn’t have such a huge wealth gap. In other words, if the players go all out it’s in the league and owners’ best interests but not so much their own. With them just recently changing the salary caps it would appear the league feels like players already make enough. They’ve also made changes to discourage players and owners from load management. All of that would suggest they are trying to pay the players less and looking for ways to increase revenue. I think what IS true about what he said is that they just are trying to increase viewership during football season

They should also grant the winner a 8th seed playoff spot if they stay above.500 for the season record. That might give the team a bit more reason to try to win to guarentee at least a playoff spot. $500000 for winning team I doubt the players who earn 10m+ cares because it will only be less than $50000 for each players.

Nobody cares about a G-League championship right? So what makes them think we the fans will care about some in-league championship trophy? No one will remember or brag about some in-league championship. I barely remember who won in the bubble or who won summer league. None of that matters! Only the NBA World Champion trophy matters. Fans do not care about a second-class trophy! And it is all about the fans.

Stephen A. correctly pointed out to the commisioner that tournament games should start in February… and Adam Silver admitted it’s just for the first year that they are letting them start in November

Meanwhile every player in the league when asked…. “we have no idea what’s going on”…. that ain’t sellin, folks!

When you need to bring someone on to explain why it’s important, you know that’s a problem.

90% of the league doesn’t care about winning. That’s the problem. Most guys choose to sit out instead of playing. In football, that’s a pride thing. You will go out there hurt because you don’t want to let the team down. The NBA players are about themselves.

This is the problem of being loaded management and don’t care about the brand and it’s fans and the company started to get unpopular and the customers are starting to moved away from it! Now, NBA start to change its tone and directions towards to the fans because the ratings are killing NBA and commissioner will do anything to bring the fans back, but will it? It’s very hard now because of the living high costs and the reputation might hurt the fans already!

Pretty sad with the money they make and it’s come to this.
