She “Does it for the beer”. I can’t even enjoy these amazing highlights the future stars of the League made without being aggressively marketed fucking beer. This sick shit pissed me off so much I had to pause the clip 16 minutes in to type a rant because I couldn’t take it anymore. We Americans are so divided due too a number of sensitive issues such as race, religion, and most of it all is conducted through the internet to advance political agendas. While we fight with each other, some take advantage of our capitalist system to subliminally market garbage that equally kills us off no matter what color skin or no matter what color state you prefer on a map come election time (even though beer probably contributes to low voter turnout in some way anyways). Taking the time for me to grab my computer to Google this stat from the CDC, “Excessive Alcohol use is known to kill more than 95,000 people in the United States each year”. Another CDC study suggests alcohol drains the economy due to losses in workplace productivity. YouTube is widely used by millions of Americans everyday, and the NBA is one of the most popular sports in the world with their highlight clips on YouTube being viewed millions of times . Young kids dream of playing in the league growing up watching these young rookies ball out. Most won’t make the cut, and many who may have the skill and body of work sadly won’t make it due to being a victim of their environment where drugs and alcohol play a role. The NBA has the audacity to market a fucking “beer run” on one of their videos BACK TO BACK with absolutely no shame yet claim to be the beacon of progression. If Black Lives truly mattered to the world of sports in general they would start by ending the advertising of the cheap shit-tasting liquid-poison they call beer.
Sorry but after seeing that ad so many times back to back I wanted to punch Adam Silver in the fkn face.
