No jump shots were shot in the making of this video

So what. They lost. It’s like he’s getting this triple double to validate not taking jumpers. Him not taking jumpers has gotten to the intervention stage. They need to trade him. Period. I know a lot of people are on his case but it’s all the truth. He doesn’t want to shoot because HE doesn’t want to shoot. Forget making the team better, he doesn’t want to do it. Nothing to talk about. Trade him.

Also, Philly in one year has had two of the most weird situations with jump shots. 1 Markelle all of sudden can’t shoot and you have Ben who refuses to shoot. What is going on in Philly.

GodAboveAll1213 I think they should trade Embiid. If you trade Simmons you are going to have a center who is barely healthy (whether that is during the regular season or playoffs) most of the time which very detriment to the team. If you keep Simmons and surround him with shooters, he has more opportunities to drive to the basket with all the spacing. This current team doesn’t have it. Simmons has every aspect of the game going right for him but if he wants to improve on his scoring he will have to start with free throws rather than 3’s. He doesn’t necessarily have to be a decent shooter to be great he just needs a team built around him to exercise his strengths

@Obi Chukwura I do agree with you on Embiid being a detriment to his teams success due to his health which has a lot to do with his work ethic off the court. I think with that it’s a toss up between him and Simmons. However, I disagree with building a team around Simmons because I don’t believe he is a franchise player. I have multiple reasons why. One being he doesn’t have the mentality of one. His lack of shooting at a position that is supposed to be able to shoot shows that he doesn’t care about his potential to be great. People think he should move to the 4 position but he doesn’t have low post or face up moves that can be relied on in a half court. Also, name one franchise player who isn’t the number scoring option or who refused to do something that their position is supposed to do. Especially in today’s game where every position can shoot. Philly got exposed with the zone defense by Miami and they haven’t recovered. BUT I do feel Ben can be an X Factor for a team. Someone who does a little of everything, more as a 4th or 5th option if needed. That way he can develop his game at a slower pace. Because I look at his free throws and his form is horrible and that’s at the free throw with no one contesting his shot so I almost don’t blame him for not shooting jumpers. He’d probably be 15% on a good day. He is extremely talented, but it seems that he doesn’t want to work on what isn’t easy for him.

Who would you trade, Ben or Joel ?

    • LJ

      January 4, 2020 at 12:28 am

Joel..I feel Simmons can be a serious offensive threat but Joel is clogging up space so he feels he gotta be passive Ben has huge potential,I truly believe he can be the 76ers LeBron fr.

      January 4, 2020 at 12:56 am

Definitely trade Joel. Build the team around Simmons with shooters. Joel probably going to miss a lot of games through load management. Simmons on the other hand rarely misses a game.

haters still blame him anyway but no one wants talk about embiid’s performance with only 20 pts with 7/17 fg / 0-3 3pts and outplayed by capela. Without ben simmons I’m sure philly should be at the bottom of the league

Best thing is to surround him more shooters. Now, reddick is gone. They will surely suffer come playoff time.

Shawn Guron I agree but he needs his jumper to be decent to the point where the other teams 1 actually contests him out there

  17. Şenol Yılmaz

HE NEEDS TO BE AGGRESIVE EVERY MATCH HE HAS OUTSTANDING TALENT BUT SOME TIMES HE IS OFF.
HE MUST TRY AT LEAST 2 3 POINTS SHOTS EVERY GAME.
WHEN IN THE CLUTCH MOMENT HE SHOWS HIMSELF .

    • Obi Chukwura

      January 4, 2020 at 11:23 am

Şenol Yılmaz Honestly I just think he needs more shooters to space the floor so he can drive to the basket. Van Gundy said it the best: it’s probably better long term to improve on his free throws rather than his 3 ball. He’s already really good on every other aspect of the game so I don’t think it’s as big a deal.

    • Şenol Yılmaz

      January 4, 2020 at 11:29 am

@Obi Chukwura BEN SIMMONS IS PURE POINT GUARD . WITHOUT HİM , JOEL EMBİD AND THE REST OF TEAM AREN’T EFFECTIVE. BEN IS OUTSTANDING PASSER AND GOOD REBAUNDER , DEFFENCIVE SIDE IS REALLY GOOD ESPECIALLY AVERAGE OF STEALS PER GAME IS OVER 2.

    Still can’t shoot a 3

    • Obi Chukwura

      January 4, 2020 at 11:26 am

Jacob Smith And so what? If anything he has to improve his free throws more than anything. Simmons is great at driving to the basket but it’s going to be hard when he doesn’t have any shooters around him.

The only player who dunk/lay up/hook with right hand but jump shoot with left hand

    • Obi Chukwura

      January 4, 2020 at 11:24 am

Kung Fu Panda John Wall is actually the opposite. His dunks and layups are typically left handed but his jump shot is right

Trade D’Angelo Russell for Ben Simmons so Ben can have shooters around him and Embiid can have a better offensive PG.
