The NBA has literally changed the way a carry has been called at least 3x. There’s literally a different rule book for the NBA. You don’t see this shit in college basketball for a reason. So trying to say “you don’t play ball if you call that a carry” is just dumb. I wouldn’t call it because I enjoy NBA and tbh I don’t call anything in non regulated games unless it’s crazy

The hand under the ball is only 1 part of the carry rule and it states no part of the hand can be under the ball. The second part that everyone disregards is that the ball cannot come to a pause. Break either one and it is a violation. If I’m playing dude on this possession I wouldn’t call carry, even though it is. I ain’t trying to argue with a dude that clearing learned to dribble like this. That’s how he balls. I either beat him while allowing the rules to be bent a little or keep it moving
