A lot of people compare the Rockets to the KD Harden Westbrook Thunder team, but I actually think they’re more like the Bulls team with pre-MVP Rose, before he blew up, Ben Gordon, Joakim Noah and Jimmy back when he was just a bench player. That team’s leading scorer was Gordon, who’s a lot like Jalen. You might recall a playoff series where they chanted Ben Jordan. Jalen is way more athletic than Gordon, and Gordon was a better shooter but they played the same role. But even though he was their best offensive player, everyone knew they had a monster waiting in the wings with Rose. In the history of the NBA, there has never been a player as athletic as D Rose… until Amen. They also had a passing big man that they could run their entire offense through in Noah, like the Rockets do with Sengun. Sengun is obviously not the defender that Noah was. But he is a way better post scorer. They had a shooting big in Carlos Boozer, but they really didn’t have true stretch bigs in that era like Jabari. Jabari is not as offensively consistent as Boozer, but he has more range and is a better defender. Sengun and Jabari basically averages out to Noah and Boozer. They had a two way defensive monster hiding on the bench in Jimmy. That’s Tari for the Rockets. They even had a young three point specialist like Reed in Kyle Korver I think. Not really sure who comps with Luol Deng though since he was nothing like Cam.

Ben Gordon never touched the offensive level of Derrick Rose.

Comparing Amen to Rose is setting yourself up for disappointment. Green still has a higher chance of being the more important offensive player. Amen’s value will be his two way ability. For example, between Gordon and Rose, Rose was the far superior ball handler.

Between Green and Amen, Green is the far better ball handler. And then there is the athleticism aspect. Green is the same class of athleticism as Rose or Amen. SO Green’s main disadvantage is being smaller than Amen. But Green is a naturally better shooter(by a wide margin), better ball handler, and same agility and explosion.

So I find it a bad comparison.

Also immediately when Rose entered the league he was attacking POA defenses. Amen isn’t doing that yet outside a few plays. Green is the one tasked with attacking POA defenses. He also is top ten in on-ball gravity and off-ball gravity partly because AMen and Sengun provide poor offensive spacing.

Nobody knows . It’s gettting frustrating now . Even as someone who only watches the game and don’t play . The team should send the league a tape of Jalen not getting calls . It’s ridiculous

Must be a thing against the top 2 in that class because Cade usually doesn’t get a favorable whistle either. Frustrating as hell.
