@everyone read this new rules for FIBA

The rule that will take effect on October 1

The changes were recommended by the ‘FIBA Rule Advisory Group’ consisting of coaches, players, referees and experts.

   Technical foul rule

According to the new rules, technical fouls will be divided into two different categories according to their quality and severity. One of them may cause the player to be disqualified.

On the other hand, there will be no disqualification decision.

   ‘Unsportsman foul’ concept

Removed and replaced by ‘blocking foul’ and

Definitions of ‘severe foul’ have been introduced.

To the position review over the image

The rule change was explained as follows:

“At any time in the match, the violation of contact (goaltending) or interference with the circle given after a foul will be allowed to be examined with the Instant Replay System (IRS).”

Also the last two of the fourth period

In all extra periods, while the ball is put into play from the sidelines, at the moment of the foul made by the defense team, with the Instant Repeat System

(IRS) will be allowed to be examined.

The definition of shot movement has also been edited

   FIBA, players getting unfair fouls

In order to prevent it, he reorganized the definition of ‘shot movement’. The offensive players will be prevented from trying to get a foul by pretending to shoot after making contact.

Accordingly, as the ‘smash movement’ of the movement

Has the ball to be accepted

The player will have to start the movement of lifting his shoulders and arms upwards with the intention of throwing him into the pot.

Sock visibility is no longer mandatory

The obligation of basketball players’ socks to be visible was also removed. More flexibility will be given in line colors and field markings in order to adapt to modern marketing needs.

FIBA to national federations in August

The series will organize an online seminar and the updated version of the rules will be published in September
