     IF YOU LIFT YOUR PIVOT BEFORE STARTING YOUR DRIBBLE YOU HAVE TO PASS OR SHOOT YOU CANNOT PUT THE BALL DOWN. Starting your dribble has 2 definitions depending on what league you’re playing in, that would be the ball leaving your hand or the ball touching the ground. NEITHER of those apply here because the ball is STILL IN HIS HAND WHEN HE MOVES HIS PIVOT FOOT. @randomyeatfan
