As long as their aren’t clear statistics to represent how well a player is defending, the voters will always want to mix up the DPOY’s every year to keep it fresh and exciting for the fans.

These guys are just friends with Jrue at this point, the dude isn’t that good and we only think of him as a top defender because KD stated it to the media a few years ago.

Jrue holiday is an excellent excellent defensive player but we’ve seen him be AWFUL offensively in big moments for a LONG time. I think he is respected by real basketball fans and players alike, but to say most underrated of his generation is a STRETCH I’m sorry.

Jrue is definitely overhyped. He just played defense but has terrible offensive iq and takes ill advised shots frequently
