The Detroit Pistons delivered a statement performance on their home floor, defeating the Orlando Magic 98–83 to even the series at 1–1. The victory marked a long-awaited breakthrough for Detroit, snapping an 11-game home playoff losing streak and securing their first postseason win at home since May 26, 2008. Even more impressive, the Pistons’ defense held Orlando to a season-low 83 points.

Cade Cunningham led the charge with a dominant all-around effort, finishing with 27 points and 11 assists. In doing so, he joined franchise legend Isiah Thomas as the only players in Pistons history to record multiple playoff games with at least 25 points and 10 assists. Tobias Harris provided strong support, posting 16 points and 11 rebounds to help control the paint and pace.

For Orlando, Jalen Suggs led the way with 19 points, six rebounds, and four assists, while Paolo Banchero added 18 points and a playoff career-high eight assists in the loss.

With momentum now shifting, the series heads to Game 3 on Saturday, April 25 at 1:00 PM EST, as both teams look to gain the upper hand in what’s shaping up to be a competitive matchup.

Something about the way Cunningham plays reminds me of Dr J. Am I mistaken?

Bro the pistons defense was legendary in that third quarter. Reminded me so much of the ‘04 goin to work squad. Beef stew had a huge block on Suggs

Pistons read all the comments from the cornballs and trolls that said they were frauds and decided to take out all their anger on the Magic.

Wonder if those people who said Pistons are a fraudulent #1 seed will show up in the comment section of this video. 😂.

Detroit woke up. The Magic are in some trouble—I think they’ll be lucky to win another game in this series. If I were an Orlando fan right now, I’d be pretty nervous.

Neither team can touch my Spurs, though, so I don’t really care who wins either way haha.

Not saying det will win it, or even get to the finals, but tonight is what peak pistons look like. Championship defense, blocks, points off turnovers. There is a path to the finals if they play D
