@Muhammed Hussain tru. But college and nba is different. And hopefully the injury bugs don’t derail him

      August 9, 2021 at 11:18 pm

Injury’s has nothing to do with calling him a diamond in the rough

He will translate to the nba everyone can see it here

He was just chucking and then in OT padded his stats with cherry picked layups and intentional foul free throws.

Suggs is nice but Barnes clearly got a higher ceiling and feel for the game – Houston fan

    • M Rdz

      August 9, 2021 at 11:10 pm

@Caleb Goodspeed i think he is taking Barnes’ size, 6’9″ with 7’3″ wing span into account

    • Caleb Goodspeed

      August 9, 2021 at 11:16 pm

@M Rdz but saying β€œclearly” makes no sense lol they’ve both played one game so determining who has a higher ceiling & feel for the game off of a single game is dumb is all im saying

    • Caleb Goodspeed

      August 9, 2021 at 11:17 pm

@M Rdz it would make sense if he gave evidence of why barnes might have a higher ceiling like you did but he didn’t give any lol plus he’s commented this on multiple posts

    • M Rdz

      August 9, 2021 at 11:23 pm

      @Caleb Goodspeed I hear ya

Sugg’s, RJ, and Cole is a nice guard trio idk how there gonna make it work but they’ll eventually get workin since they can all work off the ball

      August 9, 2021 at 11:16 pm

Suggs is defs more polished. Looks like a future all star. I see the risk the Raptors made though. Barnes ceiling is already looks higher imo. I still don’t know who I’d pick lol Suggs just looks like a winner.

      Raptors picked the right guy.

    August 9, 2021 at 11:19 pm

Lots of trolls hating. Jalen plays both ends hard. He missed a few easy layups but the 3 is better than college. If you love basketball he is must see.

The magic needed this luck him falling to even have a chance in 3 years from now. Depending what else they do. Suggs and Issacs are lit. Everyone else on that roster in my opinion I would trade or let hit free agency.

    • Yatharth Singaria

      August 9, 2021 at 11:32 pm

Cole Anthony should be traded to I believe I don’t think him and jalen can coexist

Much better than barnes. Actual bucket getting ability and doesn’t move like a sloth. Also has great passing and vision which is what the Raptors needed with Lowry leaving. Instead they drafted OG 2.0.

Jalen Suggs is such a STEAL for the Orlando Magic. HeΒ΄s a natural leader and athlete. Easily an All-Star in 3 to 5 years.

  28. Wolf Gooner

    August 10, 2021 at 9:35 am

He looked good. There’s no way he should be the 5th pick if he continues to play like this. The cavs and raptors have made a mistake in passing him.

    • ClumsyBear59 H

      August 10, 2021 at 10:46 am

Yes, I agree with you, but we also have to remember how good their player development is, in a few years scottie could be a star too. Did you see their debut?

    • Wolf Gooner

      August 10, 2021 at 11:05 am

@ClumsyBear59 H yeah I did, I know Scottie had a good debut, 18 pts and very good defensive showing, but I still think Suggs ceiling is higher. Mobley on the other hand doesn’t look very convincing, albeit it’s only one game but it’s against a summer league roster so I expected him to do better. He better improve or we could have a James Wiseman 2.0. (Yes I’m technically saying Wiseman is a bust)

    • G

      August 10, 2021 at 6:53 pm

@Wolf Gooner Barnes was +11 and Suggs -18… Barnes was 18,10,5… he scored fourth highest in athleticism as a wing in 21 years according to sPARQ… this is extremely rare to find. Both will do well and fit their teams perfectly but think it’s way early to judge whom has the higher ceiling.

    • Dan Elder

      August 10, 2021 at 10:59 am

@Jacob Issac ?? I’m a Raptors fan that wanted Suggs but is cautiously optimistic about Barnes. Both will be good players in my mind. I don’t see why you would respond like that?

The guy is a winner! I think that’s why he’ll have the mostt success out all the players in the draft.every where he goes he wins.its an ora that follows the great one’s and he has it.he wills his teams to victories and you’ll see how the players around him are going to feed off of that and they’ll perform at a high level.

It’s one summer league game. It’s not as simple as ABC’s as y’all put it for this man to develop into a star. It takes a resilient mentality, consistency, and dedication that is unmatched if one is trying to be a star in the NBA. The future looks bright, but he hasn’t even played his first nba game and people are calling him a star? A steal? Guys it’s important to assess matters once they have progressed Atleast a little, let alone not even begun!

      August 10, 2021 at 6:26 pm
