Bro turned Utah into a top defense for years by HIMSELF.
The amount of possessions that ends in a bad shot or a shot clock violation because players just refuses to go to the paint when they see him his crazy .
If he just learned how to do basic post moves he’d be a superstar

Same could be said for any player. If you turn their weaknesses into strengths, most NBA players would be all stars. Because you don’t make it to the NBA in the first place if your pre-existing strengths aren’t already something special.

Respect to the NBA for giving DPOY to the most deserving guy & not giving in to all the hype from casuals for Wemby. Don’t get me wrong, Wemby is coming and will win DPOY many times, but this year Gobert was the better defender. Deserved this 100%. Casuals just look at blocks and think numbers tell the whole story. They don’t understand the complexities of evaluating this.

Defense like Rudy brings is way more valuable than offense, in today’s game. Truly elite defenders are hard to come by. Offensive stars? Not so much.
So sure, you can say his offense may be lacking compared to other NBA players… but any team wants Gobert, regardless. Aint hard to surround him with talented scorers.
