Today the referees called a lot in favor of Denver. I’m not going to say that was the deciding factor in the game, because Randle and McDaniels played like idiots. However, that kind of very physical, high-contact defense from the Wolves isn’t something you see very often.

It’s not “in favor” it’s calling the blantant fouls when they’re happening and Minnesota was highly emotional and highly aggressive on defense leading to a lot of fouls. They were bodying, holding jerseys, shoving players in the back, and anything else they thought they could get away with

Typical playoff free throw range is about 20–24 per team. The Timberwolves were below that with 19. Denver, on the other hand, had an unusually high 33 attempts — a major factor in the outcome. They didn’t outshoot Minnesota in field goal percentage or from three, but the free throw disparity played a huge role. Gift game 🎁🎄🎅🎂

Nuggets got a very favorable whistle tonight, Murray shot almost as many as the entire Twolves team. Plus 2 huge fouls on three pointers to keep the Nuggets in the game. AE did not play at the level he needs to.

murray going to have to be consistent if they have any chance against okc. 22 points off 16 free throws isnt a good look when SGA is going to have 16+ free throws and 30+ points. We need Murray at 30 points on good efficiency. He doesnt have the same whistle SGA does in games that matter. . He cant rely on the whistle.

Nuggets shot so bad from three. That was the only reason why it was somewhat close. Denver played great disciplined help defense to make up for it. If Denver keeps up its defense and shores up the offense only the Spurs and OKC have any chance against this squad.
