Perk, you have to realize that no one signs with the Lakers. They are always left with scraps during free agency after players sign elsewhere. A lot of these top tier players don’t want to play in LeBron’s shadow. It happened every year since he’s been a Laker, with the exception of his friend AD. Plus how can you sign any good talent when two guys are making 50M each.

LeBron has been with the Lakers for 7+ seasons, and the majority of those years (5 out of 7) involved either missing the playoffs or needing the play-in route rather than comfortably qualifying.
