Should have fired Rivers 2 years ago, he is not a tactician

Sam Cassell is the obvious choice for Philly in my opinion. That’s someone that not only played with Olajuwon, but won 2 titles with him. The Embiid/Olajuwon parallel can be bridged by Cassel.

Is embiid in shape enough to be in D’antoni’s system?

Exactly, and how long is his big body going to be able to go up and down like that before little injuries start kicking in. Agree 100% w/ the Sixers losing to a better team.

Doc made no adjustment to the Harford Williams lineup.

JJ Redick has this aura that thinks of himself as Basketball Savant and he is always correct which is not

Doc is the most overrated NBA coach in history. So 23 years in the NBA as a head coach. Lets remind everybody, he had a roster stacked with talent. I’m talking HOF, current MVPS,All-stars, top 3 draft picks and he has won only 1 ring in 23 years. The last time was in 2006, so about 17 years ago. Doc record at winning a championship is 4%! Doc has had over 10 game 7 where his team has chocked. How many other time has his teams had a 3-2 or 3-1 lead to only flop. Doc is probably the worst investment for any team when you also consider he is one of the highest-paid coaches to only fail year after year after year with a stacked team. Imagine if Kerr,Eric or Pop had his teams I guarantee at least 10 rings minimum.

So Joel wins the MVP and stops hooping, and now it’s Doc’s fault? I bet they would’ve won if Jokic got the MVP.

I don’t usually agree with SAS. But when he said “cause, it’s, Jordan.” 100%

If not for that one chip with Boston, Doc Rivers would be an out and out loser.

Tier 1 : LeBron, Steph and Kawhi
Tier 2 : KD, Giannis, AD
    Tier 3 : Joker, Tatum
    Tier 4 : Joel embiid

Whoever wins will be up one tier….

They have to hire dantoni. U cant waste hardens talent like doc rivers did

Monty Williams in my opinion is the best outright candidate since he knows the organization and I really wished the organization promoted him to head coach after letting go of Brett Brown. If Iโ€™m being honest here, the team is going to decide between being aggressive to get a coach that is still going to force us to try to compete for the season or weโ€™re going to go towards a rebuild with Tyrese Maxey, which I think is definitely on the rise. Letting go of Embiid sounds crazy, but if we donโ€™t actually think about that we could end up with a DeMarcus Cousins situation.

I would rather pull a random fan out of the stands and have them coach the team than hire Mike D’Antoni.

Sixers have decided they need to try something different. Really shake things up. Mike D’Antoni. You can’t make this franchise up. Whenever I think about their front office, I imagine an empty room where all the decisions are being made by chatgpt.

Long time philly fan. Whether you think Doc was a great philly coach or not, Doc always handled himself with grace and humility. I’m a big fan. Thank you Doc for all your efforts.
