Man John Wall was just legit tearing it up during those 2017 playoffs , he absolutely came out to play in game 6 , I wish he could’ve helped a lot in game 7 in Boston

  5. Gurdeep Singh

    May 2, 2020 at 9:54 pm

Man, I hope Wall comes back and shows he’s worth that supermax. People forget that before he was injured he was undoubtedly the best PG in the east and made Marcin Gortat look like an above average center in a pick and roll.

    • Jesse Simpson

      May 2, 2020 at 10:04 pm

People who claim he’s trash or a waste clearly don’t realize why he got the contract in the first place

    • Matthew Cooke

      May 2, 2020 at 10:32 pm

@Jesse Simpson because Washington aren’t a destination team and they had to choose between paying their all-star (but not championship-level) point guard or letting him walk and recruiting nobody of worth in free agency? I don’t begrudge the Wizards choosing the option that sells tickets, but let’s not pretend that paying John Wall $40mil a year was ever going to lead to meaningful individual or team success.

Even when he wasn’t shooting well, his passing and his defense kept them in the game. And then he took over in the clutch. 🐐

Title must be Breadly Beal forced a game 7! He has 33 points 15-26 field goals, wall has 26 points 9-25 field goals. Why NBA doesnt want to see Beal field goals ?

That was John Wall best season where he was letting everyone know it’s his time. To be honest after that season a lot of people expected John Wall at best to be a top 3 or 2 best PG behind Steph and Russell but in reality he’s in the top 5 or 6. Kyrie and Damian are ahead of him because of their skills and ability to close. John Wall should be a type of player to average 24 and 10 in a season but he haven’t done it.Bradley Beal been improving his game and that’s just facts. There was reports of John Wall before he got hurt stating he wasn’t shape and this was after he got a max contract. John Wall and Bradley Beal at their best should be able to lift their team for a playoffs run in the East. The reason why we acknowledge Damian Lillard is because not only he’s a closer but after they lost Aldridge and 4 other starters at that time, people expected them to be a laughing stock but what did Damian do, he kept improving his game and surprisingly let Cj become what he is and kept making the playoffs and thats in the West a tougher conference.

2k Nelly he hasn’t played a full season since lol how is he going to average 24-10 if he can’t play. I’ll take a healthy wall over Kyrie any day

    • 2k Nelly

      May 3, 2020 at 4:51 pm

@LarryDinkle Pie Nah I’m saying after that break out season he tailed off a little bit and after he got a max contract there were reports before he got hurt he wasn’t in shape so that kind of gave some indication is this dude just playing for the money, not improving your game every yr, being inconsistent. If we was talking about 2017 season I agree with you on having him over Kyrie mostly cause of his ability to play both ends but after that he tailed off and I’m talking about before he got injured and leaning on the reports stating he wasn’t in shape enough to where he can go all out be consistent. So I’m questioning your level of commitment. There are some players, the reason why they go all out is because they contract is about be up and they want to get paid the most they can get and once they finally got their money, all of a sudden your not seeing the level of consistency, level of commitment to get in shape, work on your game and polish your game. I’m not saying John Wall is that kind of player cause I like him and want him to be the best he could be but so far he has given evidence he could be those players that has the talent but not be able enough to work on it, stay consistent, be the best version of yourself. But we can agree to disagree much respect to you though.

2k Nelly that season he literally had ball is life document his offseason. Those reports were him visiting a nightclub which Steven a smith blew out of proportion.

I don’t get it. For most of the time there’s 5 ft 9 little Isaiah Thomas on the floor and I haven’t seen Wizards’ offense exploiting that too often. Sometimes Mahinmi has him… doesn’t matter Beal or Wall is going to take the shoot. It’s not very smary basketball. Those classic Spurs teams would attack Thomas every single time on switches or even just with a bigger guard.
