Even with a rough offensive past week or two hes achieved this. Just goes to show how impactful he is despite the numbers. On bad offensive nights hes still an insane decoy. He still demands doubles or triple teams. This enables his teammates and leads to winning games still. And defensively it goes without saying hes the best in the league. DPOY if he finishes out the season for sure. GL trying shots in the paint with him there. Better hope your teams midrange and 3 point shooting is on that night. Gotta defend him with over-the-top physicality to even have a chance of winning. Please let him stay healthy. GSG

โ€‹@ShiemandNikkiEvery team this year has bad matchups with other teams in reg season. No teams perfect. Detroit > Knicks, Spurs > OKC Spurs are still young af too. Youre right but yeah theyll be alright

@Ironborn_PVMtheyโ€™ll be fine. Wemby is a walking mismatch. If they figure it out they can win with him

      @Shi@ShiemandNikki

They played 12:00pm (11:00am in Texas) in Snowy day (and it was 85F in San Antonio).

If that happened like 7:00pm, Iโ€™ll bet my life, the result is different.

Even with roughs offensive night, he always has consistent all stars defensive night
No one top 10 come close defensively to him
So even when is offense is bad, his defense makes it even
    Heโ€™s him. Mvp

Its called the gather step (or “zero step”) in basketball is a rule allowing a player to take two additional steps after ending their dribble, provided the initial “gather” (securing the ball) occurs while one foot is on the ground or in the air. It is permitted in the NBA and FIBA but generally not in NCAA or High School. No travel whats so ever.

I think Lamelo is a bit too showy and not the hard-work low key player the Spurs often look for, and Charlotte got rid of their horrible FO so why would he want to leave now?

It feels like the only reason he doesn’t average 5 blocks a game is because players avoid shooting against him.

    • @justineluizpedrina2503

      March 3, 2026 at 7:21 pm

The game he didn’t block a shot vs OKC in December was a game almost no one tried to go inside and OKC tried to shoot a lot of 3s. Result of that game, almost blowout

    • @TFNARMY_MHM

      March 3, 2026 at 8:10 pm

If he played in the 80’s he’d average 5-7 blocks per game easily, and I’m saying this as a defender of the 80s and 90s.

The paints were more packed back then, just simple Math.

    • @Ometecuhtli

      March 3, 2026 at 8:30 pm

@TFNARMY_MHM True. He has the length of Ralph Sampson but the timing of David Robinson. Not Olajuwon tho, but only because Hakeem was the GOAT at timing.
