@Jason Allen point average isn’t everything, he isn’t a good passer from the post, he isn’t a good shooter, he gets abused by average big men defensively, very mediocre post moves when he’s given the ball down low, not a good pick & roll partner due to him somehow struggling to set screens, can’t defend out on the switch, and all of that while being constantly injured, + even as a trading piece he isn’t valuable, the kings tried to get saddiq bey for bagley, earlier this season and detroit didn’t accept, you can blame the kings bad handling of talent, which is true, but recently they’ve been hitting more often than missing, (de’aaron fox, tyrese, buddy hield, davion has looked good so far)
bagley’s point average is due to him being on a bad team really. who else is gonna take his shots, richuan holmes? alex len? WCS? harry giles?

@Islamic values gaming 2 The Kings‘ decision to let Marvin Bagley III stay away from the team while he recovered from a broken bone in his left hand raises questions about his future with the organization, writes Jason Jones of The Athletic. (Copy and Paste and Rewriting) Bagley, who hasn’t played since March 15 when he suffered a fracture of his fourth metacarpal, rejoined his teammates Thursday on their road trip.

Jones states that letting Bagley be on his own for so long with an injury that wasn’t season ending appears to be “more of the coddling and enabling of players” for which the Kings have gotten a reputation. Team officials stayed in touch with Bagley during his absence, but Jones suggests he could have benefitted from taking part in game preparation and other day-to-day activities.

Bagley still has a splint on his hand and is not close to returning to action, according to coach Luke Walton (Random Twitter link I can’t show) When Bagley does return, his performance over the rest of the season may help the Kings determine his future. Bagley will be eligible for a rookie-scale extension this summer, but he has played only 50 combined games over the past two seasons. League sources tell Jones that Sacramento made Bagley available before this year’s trade deadline, but the front office didn’t receive any offers it liked.

This goes to show you that the summer league doesn’t mean much. Even though he was drafted last year, not saying he isn’t going to be good but people take the summer league out of context.

Deym, the Spurs have so many great guards with two-way potential. It is a problem but a happy problem.

      August 12, 2021 at 9:54 pm

Yeah but to me if this guy keeps excelling like this you don’t think the spurs would trade some guards and picks they received from trades to get Ben Simmons

  22. no future at all
