Blazers on paper have a genuinely solid roster. Once Anfernee/Sharpe/Rob (if he SOMEHOW stays healthy) are back, they could compete better than most people think if they keep who they have now. I would trade Grant and Rob though, if any decent offers show up + I don’t think Chauncey is the right fit for HC. Their assistant coach this game filled in great, I wish they had a chance to let him run things for a bit to see who works out better.

Injury: Simons tore the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his right thumb during the Trail Blazers’ season-opening loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.
Surgery: Simons is expected to have surgery and miss 4–6 weeks.
