Hawks are way better when they have Trae. I hope he does some great stuff in the future.

I prefer trae over luka because he is more selfless and I dont think he tries to be the hero as much, however he still isnt making his team better, that being said this roster isnt great so its hard to assess but his usage rate would go down majorly on a great team, id love to see this kid with great players around him and less usage showing his skills when needed, im still in shock he got the most votes for all-star but we all know fan votes are stupid. But he certainly has talented, I like to follow his career closely and hope he does it the right way!

Nice analysis but how do you know Trae doesn’t try to be a hero when there getting blown out the majority of there games?

@22 13 Oh, actually, I did say “as much” I do still believe he does play a bit of heroball too, just not as much, I just see trae as a player that could really be taken under the wing of a veteran that is still balling. I may be wrong, I just think his passing game is much better and I think he tries at least in defense even if he isnt good at it oppose to luka and the size difference makes a difference too with defense. I still think there are young players out there that do not get enough credit because their PPG isn’t as high, but they do many things well, jaylen brown, ben simmons, bam adebayo, 3 guys that play a more rounded game and I think make a larger impact on their teams. And this kind of mentality is just perfect to win a championship because they don’t care so much if their stats are down in something.

@Lord SlimeSeason Lol Trae is the worst defender according to DRTG. At least Luka tries.

@Ric Rizer according to what now?

      January 5, 2020 at 9:35 am

@remster183 john collins is great, however he’s not a 7’2 steph curry lite. Don’t even get me started on the rest of the team lol. Kev has been turning it up lately so hawks might start to look a bit better especially once John’s not hurt, but that mavs team is just much better all around. The only thing luka has on Trae is defense, and even then when Trae actually tries on defense he’s just as serviceable as Luka at times πŸ˜‚

Stats just don’t mean anything anymore… game just gets boring watching teams bomb 3s and then go to the foul line every time they drive

    • J Bruce

      January 5, 2020 at 9:51 am

Thats why they need to move the 3 point line back a few more feet. Im also tired of the 30 to 40 3 point attempts. All these stretch bigs and forwards need to stop. Lol. Good point.
