The Portland Trail Blazers completed a stunning comeback, rallying from a 22-point deficit to hand the Oklahoma City Thunder their first loss of the season, 121–119. Trailing 86–81 entering the fourth quarter, Portland outscored OKC 40–33 down the stretch to secure the win.
Deni Avdija led the way for the Blazers with an all-around performance of 26 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists—just one assist shy of a triple-double. Jrue Holiday added 22 points, six rebounds, and six three-pointers, while Jerami Grant contributed 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists in the victory.

For the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continued his stellar play with 35 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and three made threes. Aaron Wiggins poured in 27 points while hitting seven three-pointers, and Ajay Mitchell chipped in 21 points and four rebounds.

This marks just the second time since the start of last season that Oklahoma City has blown a 20-point lead—the last coming on February 24, 2025, against Minnesota, when they squandered a 25-point advantage and lost in overtime. It’s also the first 20-point comeback win for the Blazers since February 3, 2023, against Washington, and the victory snaps a 16-game losing streak to the Thunder.

With the result, Portland improves to 5–3 on the season, while Oklahoma City falls to 8–1.

Wiggins one of my former Terps couldn’t save basketball this time… Speaking of the DMV’s former players it’s cool to see Deni finally turning into the All-Star we felt he would!

I hope people realize that they are making these highlight video intros longer before tip, just so they can put more ads on the video

I heard some of Rip City was unhappy with Shaedon’s decision to not pulverize the rim with a highlight dunk on that breakaway. I thought it was wise not to poke the bear that was already eating off your face. Good thinking Shaedon!

First sign of a team ready to turn the corner. They beat giants but lose to teams that don’t inspire them.

My Nuggets were there not too long ago. Well done Blazers.

Blazers need something to put them over the top and I just can’t put my finger on it. Is it a better Center that they need?

I just watched clingan do absolutely nothing for the blazers the entirety of the game. Put him on full commission until he can figure out what a rebound is.

Loving this team. They are playing hard and as a team. Coaching is doing a great job coaching these players up. Blazers should really consider making him full time head coach.
