The Spurs stink with DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge on the court – Zach Lowe | The Jump

Published

on

Amin Elhassan, Ramona Shelburne, Zach Lowe and Chiney Ogwumike discuss the state of the San Antonio Spurs and whether this is the year Gregg Popovich’s team finally misses the NBA playoffs. They also talk about why Becky Hammon wasn’t considered the team’s head coach after Pop was ejected, with Tim Duncan serving in that role.

They lack shooting, lack defense, you have a couple of building blocks, trade DeRozan to Orlando for a 1rnd pick and a younger dude, LaMarcus for a first round pick and just go throught the draft. These dudes wont even get you to the playoffs

I told everyone they don’t work in the spurs system every1 gets cold cause the ball is in there hands& players are open 4 3s but dΓ©rozan goes for 2s spurs need 2 get the most they can 4 them if its not on the court then it has 2b for spurs future our youngstars would b better than what dΓ©rozan& Aldridge are bringing 2 the table our bench is doing better Lonnie& keldon have way more potential& spurs r stunting there growth in my opinion we need energy& there not even playing these high motor characters we better get valuable asset 4 dΓ©rozan cause then are future isn’t going 2 look 2 bright I predicted Aldridge& dΓ©rozan 2 lay stinkers every team shoots 3s & were settling 4 2s & there not getting our 3 point shooters going till late spurs need 2 keep rebuilding give the reins 2 our youngstars who are hungry!

Because Ramona Shelburne doesn’t have good basketball takes so she had to resort to the gender issue. The topic was supposed to be about the Spurs’ on-court problems and not the coaching problems. Ramona Shelburne is useless.

The spurs HAVE changed their system in the past. They played through the post early in Duncan’s career, then They shot a ton of threes when they beat the heat in the finals and were actually at the forefront of that change, with ball movement and shooting threes. Then last year they led the league in midrange shots, so this isn’t the first time they’ve changed their sustem

Not to put coach Becky down but why would anyone question what the great tim duncan does in basketball? That lady talking about it (I think it’s Ramona) is just ruining what the spurs are doing.. Becky and Tim did great together!

Derozan had to watch his team and the same players he played with win a ring because he couldn’t do it.
That’s got to be the most depressing thing to watch.

Our culture is so PC , it doesn’t matter if it’s Becky or Duncan , the team is just not aggressive and talented enough.. forget history of female head coach ..are you players dominant is the question ?
