Honestly, i just don’t think the Celtics could beat the bucks without Al. He’s the best defender of Giannis/Lopez we have and KP doesn’t bring the right brand of physicality on defense.

To answer Kenny, we literally saw the Nets sit all their starters, ironically enough against the Bucks, at halftime like 2 weeks ago lol

The Celtics do this every year. Start hot, then fall off a cliff. I refuse to get excited until we’re in the finals hoisting up that trophy

Nobody gave the Bucks the same leeway last season when they had a back to back vs Indiana and got bodied by the Celtics the next game by 40. The Pistons had a b2b and almost beat Boston in OT, same with the TWolves. Joe Mazulla was soft for that, it is not the Bucks fault that they gave up at the half.

Boston is 29-9, not 29-10. They’re still 3 games ahead of Milwaukee.

God these highlights are so much cooler when they play the old school beats behind them instead of the new trash.

Agree with Kenny. The Celtics starters shat the bed and put the team in that position, why would they get a break and chilled on the bench while the garbage crew was out there to get embarrassed?

Never hurt MJ, he played 40mins every game and still scored 30+ every night.

The past week for the Celtics:
Fri, Sat, off, Mon, off, Wed, Thurs

When Kenny emphasizes, “In the history of the NBA, benching the starters for the entire second half has never happened.” Context is useful, though: in the history of the NBA how often is the team playing the fifth game in seven days, had just played the team with the best record in the other conference, and flown to play the second ranked team in their conference for the fifth game? And after all that, how often has the team been down by over 30 points? Probably never for that, too. So Pat, Phil, and Pop didn’t have this situation to deal with, stop saying what they would have done.

I like having the starters sit the second half. Maybe the Celtics could have made a come-back. That possibility exists in both their minds and the minds of the Bucks. If the starters had played, and still lost by 30 points, then the Bucks would have confidence that they could hold this lead, and that makes them more confident about holding a 20 point half-time lead, which is possible in a playoff series.

Bobby Portis put it to the Celtics. BP like BP gas brought the energy

Yeah if bucks fix that defense perimeter there is no team that can give them from the line and they can’t even drive in as well just because they have 2 towers in there that are really good defenders

i disagree with the jet, the celtics were having a bad night [ anybody can have one, just dont have too many ], why risk injuries .weird stuff tends to happen on weird nights imo. its not like they are a basement team, they can afford a night, especially if tired from the previous nights game plus they had to eat n get their stuff together👉🏾 or some inhouse bs could have kept everyone up later than expected.

The Bucks’ top 2 are better and far more consistent in high-stakes situations than the Boston top 2. It’s really that simple. Boston does not beat them 4/7.

I can see both points and this is the rare debate where two things can be right

The 86 Celtics one loss at home was a drubbing by Portland, who was a weaker team, and Boston still went on to win the title.

My point is that this loss was harsh, but it doesn’t necessarily mean anything in the bigger picture.
