I say that James / Davis is the best 1-2 since Kobe and Pau (has it really been 10 years?). Lakers don’t win 2020 without those two.

WELL DUH. Of course they wouldn’t win without them. That’s like saying if Michael jordan didn’t play on the bulls that would 3 peat twice.

Not even a Lakers fan but people really said Davis was only good cuz he was in NO and was injury prone. Meanwhile he was a MVP/DPOY candidate multiple times during his years there and besides Jrue was the only reason they made the playoffs. He’s been that dude since college and proved it this year. He’s in that top tier of players in the league and will continue to be for a long time (health withstanding)

As a Laker fan I never knew how versatile he was before he joined the Lakers yet he complements Lebron’s versatile game so well. I always saw him as a slightly better DeAndre Jordan back in the Pelicans days but there’s no other player quite like AD in the league. You literally can’t put together a better duo than these 2

Damn sometimes it’s hard to realize how good AD is even when you’re watching him. He’s so unstoppable, and he brings so much to the table on offense and defense. His game allows space for any type of player to come in and play with him. The only thing that could be improved in his game is his mindset to dominate. And that championship run and playing with Lebron did wonders for it. By the time Lebron retires he may not even need a player that caliber in order to contend for championships.
