It’s a hard definition. The ring talk is really for the top of the heap, and it’s got layers. Dwight Howard took an average team to the finals. Does his loss mean more because he had less? I gained more respect for LeBron losing to the Warriors after losing Kyrie in the Finals and Love before that. TMac himself between Yao Ming and Grant Hill constantly injured his best years. MJ and Pip stayed mostly healthy the whole run, Tim Duncan had a HC and front office in line for years, also got drafted to pair with David Robinson(THAT SEEMED RIGGED LIKE CP3 getting KOd to the Lakers). GS drafted their core 3.
PS. Magic played ALL 5 POSITIONS in the Finals that rookie year….just saying Gill acting like Magic didn’t deliver INSTANTLY. BEFORE Worthy and WITHOUT the MVP. Rookie year All Star STARTER and FINALS MVP game 6 that year played center for Kareem 42pts 15 rebounds 7asst . Sometimes I really wonder should THAT MJ be that far back of the GOAT conversation 😂😂😂
