Lakers because they have had past success the suns have done nothing since the arrival of KD. sure they had injuries and depth problems but overall they haven’t shown they can be a top team in the west. the Lakers have won a championship and have the leadership to go far.

I like the Suns better. The fact that LBJ and AD were healthy last year was an outlier I believe. I believe it’s more likely one of them gets hurt no major injuries but enough to miss 25-35+ games. Let me be clear I don’t want that to happen. On the other hand, the West is better this year. Memphis, New Orleans, Houston, Sacramento, will be much better I believe then there are the giants Dallas, Minnesota, Denver, and OKC.

I’m more high on the Phoenix Suns than the Los Angeles Lakers. The Phoenix Suns are more of a threat in the Western Conference than the Los Angeles Lakers. The Phoenix Suns showed up in 4th quarter and overtime vs. the LA Clippers. Last year’s Suns team would have lost by double digits to this LA Clippers team. The Los Angeles Lakers beat a Minnesota Timberwolves team who did not show up at all. This is a different Phoenix Suns team than last season. The Los Angeles Lakers have Anthony Davis as their best player who is known for getting injured every year + LeBron James is their 2nd best player. The Phoenix Suns have deep bench depth and an actual Top 10 starting lineup. I will admit though, it is early in the season to tell which team to trust more and which team will go farther. Again, I’m going with the Phoenix Suns, not because I’m a huge Suns fan. It’s because I trust this team more. The Los Angeles Lakers would be lucky to make the playoffs let alone be a Top 8 team in the Western Conference this season. Look at how deep the West got! OKC Thunder, Minnesota Timberwolves, Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, New Orleans Pelicans, and lastly the Memphis Grizzlies with the return of Ja Morant all got significantly better than the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason who only added a solid player/shooter in Dalton Knecht & Bronny James who doesn’t belong in the NBA. I guarantee you guys and Lakers fans that the Los Angeles Lakers will be finish at the bottom of the Western Conference play-in. Lakers going far in the playoffs if they even make it remains to be seen.
