In what business does a guy who just got fired for having his team choke in the playoffs two years in a row for getting blown out at home get a raise and double his salary??? The answer is the NBA. It’s called failing to the top!! Monty got rewarded for failing by getting a massive raise!! He’s never won anything as a coach. How much is Popovich, Kerr, Spoelstra,Ty Lue, Budenholzer, Doc, and Nurse worth. They’ve all won championships, and some have won multiple championships!

Monty take Shamet with you! Also if Detroit wanted him that much why didn’t the Suns work out a deal with Detroit. Detroit would’ve saved 3 mil a year and the Suns could have gotten a 1st round pick. With Phoenix needing assets just seems like a miss. A future Pistons pick has value

Never heard of a 6 year coaching contract until now wow. Must be desperate. What happen if you suck the first 2-3 years? Going to have to pay him for the rest.

Pistons needed to pay him extra cause he needs to live in Detroit and coach the Pistons who have been terrible. If he went to the Lakers it would be 8m a year or something

If he was white tho Steven A smith wouldn’t be going on a big spill like this. He only advocates for black people.

If he was white Stephen a would be losing his mind. The man has never won a chip but gets a hall pass. Crazy take from Stephen a. Not surprised though

Monty Williams is a good person but he can’t really coach at the highest level

Watch he doesn’t stat the length of the contract that team is not close to winning anything now a days 5 years tops he getting fired

A total waste of money, he hasn’t won anything, he will be coaching sub par players that wouldn’t start anywhere else. This is why I haven’t watched them in 20 years. Good players come to Detroit to finish out their careers not to ruin it.

What’s funny is, the teams that strived in the bubble are doing good.
