Stephen As antennas telling him that Hawks players didn’t like Lloyd and wanted him out? Team still in the playoff chase even w/ their record so doing it now can help em stay afloat. Rather than waste a season. If players wanted him, he stays. Pretty simple. Could argue that you players opinion on coaches shouldn’t matter too much, that’s fair. But if he’s not the guy, doesn’t win, and the players don’t want him, there’s no reason to wait. Crazy too bc if it were a white interim coach then the narrative woulda been way worse
