As a Raptor fan I ironically think they’re both right about VanVleet. He’s a great defender in general but he was dealing with a knee injury and his lack of size has historically always been a challenge against the 76ers compared to other teams

Okay Stephen A Smith… Stephen Curry fails many of the free throws and many attempts of 3-points does Curry wants the coach fired too? Well let’s say every player that’s fails in the playoffs wants to get their coach fired.

I called James Harden out a long time ago, before the NBA started cracking down this year on cheating moves like kicking your leg out when you shoot, or hooking a guy’s arm when you go for a lay up.
Let’s call it like it is: James Harden had better numbers when he was getting away with cheat moves.
I think the thought of trying to sell the refs and get away with cheat moves was one of the things that fueled James Harden. Seriously.
I don’t think he’s having as much fun playing the game the right way. The NBA took away his cheat advantage.
And he’s lost some of his passion as a result. I don’t feel bad for him at all.
Secondly, he’s one of the laziest players I’ve ever seen.
Third, he’s done it before where he purposely doesn’t play as well as he can because he got his feelings hurt somehow and he wants to be the center of attention.
James Harden is throwing a temper tantrum on the 76ers.
James Harden is going to try and take over this team.
He’s a narcissist. Pure and simple.
And a player who gets more joy out of cheat moves than he does playing pure basketball.
It will be awesome when he retires.

I think it’s about time all the American sports analysts stop making excuses for the 76ers, and start giving credit to the Raptors players and coaching staff. Don’t open with anything else. Just straight up say Toronto has out played Philly in the last 3 games period.

    I believe Steven A is correct… Harden’s numbers is only just enough…

Joel is complaining about what he knows Harden can do better, but is not full throttle as a player. So, the equation here is from Jame’s performance is: Darrel Moray + Harden = D’Antoni as head coach… not Doc Rivers… + Embiid as the 2nd superstar… which is Clint Capela on Steroids…

    Not hard to understand…

Stephen A makes a brilliant point but say it aint so because Doc shouldn’t have to take the blame for Harden’s out of the blue for a while now trash offensive, defensive and major turnover machine performances…

Doc should bench Harden and refuse to dress him out.
