Jokic is the modern day Tim Duncan not flashy and he’s boring but he’s unstoppable

Have you not enjoyed some of his passes? Go watch Jokic huck the ball within an inch of Caruso’s head last year against the Lakers for an assist, or that triple team that led to the Gordon 3 pointer against the Clippers, he’s a lot of fun to watch for his creativity and touch with the ball.

He got an MVP and is in the running for a second. What more does he need? His team is okay. They got picked apart and swept in the playoffs and his pick and roll defense was being dismantled by CP.

The fact that he didn’t play on Christmas says it all 🤷‍♂️

Jokic gets the respect, just not being talked much than other players in the media. And this is their fault. They talk about a trash Lakers and a part time Kyrie more than Giannis and Jokic. No one cares about the Lakers this year, everyone is just waiting for them next year, they’re done, so don’t talk about them and talk about these other guys like Jokic. I mean, I haven’t even seen a video here talking about Chicago, Cavs, Denver, Suns. These are great teams right now that aren’t talked about more and they are discussing more about trash teams 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Jokic should be getting more best player in the world conversation from mainstream sports media, but I understand why not. It wouldn’t be good for the marketing of the league. Not that there isn’t alot of white fans, but it is more of a sport associated with urban culture because of the demographics that black people have typically been at the top of the sport. So a big , slow Serbian white guy with no swag is never gonna be selling the most jerseys or shoes to NBA fans dominant demographics no matter what he accomplishes. Plus perimeter players and scorers are always more popular than big men, because most people don’t relate to playing the game that way and can’t imitate it.

But also to be fair to the media and fans who dont think he’s in the best in the world conversation, usually being annointed as the best in the world has to come with winning a championship, and Jokic hasn’t had a roster good enough to support him doing that yet in the last 2 years he’s arguably been the best player. So I’ll wait to see how people treat him after he wins one, because I have no doubt in my mind as long as injuries aren’t a factor , he will win at least 1 and be finals mvp. He hasn’t accomplished enough yet to be ranked top 20 all time but he’s that level of talent.

    SAS blatantly lying 🤥

    1. He has the most power in the show. If HE wanted to lead the show about Jokic, he could.
When Jokic came up, his answer was “fluid” because EVERYONE on the panels he spoke on respected Jokic while he was the odd man out.

    2. HE JUST NOW said Jokic is his MVP THIS PAST MONDAY!!! Bcuz the Nuggets beat the 76ers.

JWill is speaking about for at LEAST the first two months of 2022, ESPN has not LED with Jokic, but has bombarded us with Lakers and Knicks unwatchable bs🙄😒

    • Dan Ross

      March 17, 2022 at 1:17 pm

And while SAS was saying “fluid” it was covering Derozan, Embiid and others. But, never Jokic.

  12. Lone Albury

    March 17, 2022 at 1:24 pm

He plays for the Nuggets. Anyone that plays for a Denver/Colorado team will never have respect. See, a three minute segment about Jokic. If it was Joel Embiid or Giannis they would have a ten minute segment about them. Mention any player or sports organization from Colorado and they will always be overlooked. As an Coloradian, PLEASE stop talking/covering professional Colorado teams. WE DON’T EXIST.

  14. Enrique Dobles

All I’m going to say is put Embiid in jokic position and the nuggets couldn’t win games. Jokics is todays best big man

    March 17, 2022 at 1:47 pm

They talk about Jokic every other day of course he getting his respect.

Nikola Jokić, known also by the cognomen “Big Honey”, “The stretch mark Five”, “Giant Rumbling Honey Bear”, and the honourific “MVP”, and often times referred to as “The Joker”, is the floor general of the Denver/Colorado Baskteball Team – The Denver Nuggets

Are the Toronto Raptors getting the respect they deserve?

  19. Guy Incognito

    March 17, 2022 at 3:13 pm

Joel Embiid is one of my favorite players right now; but I cannot deny that ESPN and Fox Sports are falling over themselves to hand him the MVP any way they can to avoid to going back to Jokic, and it’s obvious that it’s a ratings thing. 24 hour sports channels are entertaining, but boy do they damage the integrity of the game with their bias in coverage i.e. which exerts influence on where players play. Small markets are already fighting an uphill battle, then ESPN comes along and cowtails to CAA to put as many Knicks games on as they can.

  20. Troy Hunter

    March 17, 2022 at 3:14 pm

Jokic Joel Gianni’s and behind them Steph. Highlights all night. Kd if he wasn’t hurt so much. But any of the Big three id be ok with. That are all unstoppable in different ways.

  21. adingdingdiiing

    March 17, 2022 at 6:16 pm

Basically what SAS is saying is they know Jokic is the MVP but since he’s not an American, it’s not in their best interest to talk about it. If they’re given a choice between talking about guys like Jokic or Luka or Dame Lillard dropping a new rap album, they’ll 100% choose to talk about Lillard.

Knicks are coming watch them in two seasons 🐐🐎🐉

They talking about Nets and Mavs. Not one word about the Mavs. Vaccine and Kyrie this and that. My god mavs are good and hot going into the playoffs

They disrespect Giannis for the same reasons, he’s a foreigner.
