No one will beat the Nuggets, as of now, because this is how a real team is assembled from top to bottom. My only problem without Murray playing is that the offense stalls out from time to time, looking for extra help, but this is still good they finding themselves without him for a minute

Can some Barton defenders chime in on the two awful passes? His scoring was good, but he always loses the ball on dumb passes or bad drives a few times a game

even though the spurs lost, they played much better in this game in terms of just competing. they really need to add a player with some speed/athleticism/length to their frontcourt. jakob played good defense for the most part on jokic, but he he just wasn’t/isn’t disruptive enough. i think that’s the kind of player you need against jokic. it’s one of the things i miss most about kawhi’s play when he first arrived. he just had really good hands and length to go with it. he was disruptive on the ball and as a help defender. this is the main reason why i think jarred vanderbilt (PF – minnesota) would not only fit in well with what we have—but he’s exactly the type of player that we need in our frontcourt. jokic is not the fastest player. and he’s not going to out-jump you. but, he’s extremely crafty. and that’s why playing good defense on him is not always good enough. you need a player with those defensive “extras” to neutralize him a little bit and what he can do. defensively we looked a lot better, but again—-i still don’t understand why it’s been so difficult for this team to get wins. one thing i notice is that the spurs don’t seem have a real/true identity on offense. they have a vet in demar, who can pretty much get the spurs a basket on any given possession. but then, they have 4 young guys (dejounte, derrick, keldon and lonnie) who can also easily go for 20-25 points if given the green light to do so. pop’s system is one the best..ever. but i don’t think he’s ever had a team quite like this—where the talent is spread across the team more evenly. somehow, the spurs have to find a way to bring it all together and make it work. i just think the spurs need to lean one way or the other. either let demar/vets lead—or start putting more trust (and responsiblity) in the hands of their young players.

The way Jokic senses the double team @ 1:50 & 2:01 reminds me of that scene from Justice League when Superman is grappling with Aquaman, Cyborg, and Wonder Woman, and he spots the Flash coming out the corner of his eye
