All star games sucked again. The modern era is nothing like the Jordan era. Most basketball players today are not true all star, that why the commissioner pair up basketball players that were up-and-coming with veteran players, which veteran players is the proper definition.

If ya’ll ever wanted a crystal ball to peer into the future of what handing the league over to fanduel and company will look like, I sure hope last night was your moment. Your league was on the rise from basically the start of the golden state run until present day. And so you have been dealt a pretty long leash. But that leash has been shortening up quite a bit this year, and it was sliced down last night. Between FD blacking out 50-75% of local games and last night’s all start game, I hope it is a wake up call. The constant online gambling commercial that is now the NBA will be looked at in a worse light than the tobacco industry in the not so distant future. And the NBA will be seen as the league that dove in to the deep end with online gambling. It remains to be seen what happens between that point A and point B. But I sure hope that last night was a learning lesson. Of course, you can say “scoreboard” (hinting at the money), but what remains to be seen is who will be around to watch your product after this soon to be inevitable mess unleashes. Unless you change course. And I sure hope you turn it around in time in order for the world to be able to witness one of the greatest talents we will ever see in Wemby, and that he is able to be shown in good light. Last night was unwatchable. Somebody should lose their job.

Every single event should give the team something in the regular season. If you win three point contest your team gets +3 points in season ranking. Your side wins the East West All star game. You get home court advantage…ect

Speaking as an international fan.
I personally like this new format because it makes it more competitive.
I have turned off all ASGs previously but stayed to the end for this one.
The final match between the east and the west lacked competition once Tatum and Curry had put them a distance ahead.
For the final match, I would like to see the American born players vs International players. That should bring more competition as national or global pride is at stake. If the US loses, I’m sure there will be lots of talk thereafter, but it can also be a good wake up for the Americans to step up.
Competition = consistency of intense effort in both offence and defence that both players and audiences are energised and atrracted by.
