They got about 3 more years before he take over the nba

      May 7, 2024 at 4:19 pm

I’ll give them 2. Spurs still want to be bad one more year for the 2025 draft. But after that, I see them going crazy in free agency and trades

Gunna be hard win mvp when he has thw worst roster in the nba around him

Wemby’s jump in January could be his baseline next season: 32/13/3/1/3 per36, 60 TS%. Give him more minutes, better spacing, and a summer of work on his game, he could be doing that on a night-to-night basis.

      May 7, 2024 at 11:01 pm

That’s optimistic but would need to average enough usage rate and minutes. Luka Doncic and a prime Russell Westbrook are probably the best examples of insanely high usage. Guess his main advantage is being a positive on defense

Thinking that somehow the Spurs wont figure out how to get Wemby help is so lazy. Spurs are geniuses when it comes to this when they have a superstar talent. SAS is so lame sometimes

That presentation was a real joke.
I don’t remember anybody getting presentation like that for any reward. Favoritism started early.

SA are about 2-4 years away from contending. They’re still in rebuilding mode. Trae Young is leaving Atlanta and I think SA is a good fit for Young

Wembys gravitas alone will bring in free agent prospects bad take

  12. @themadnucleus101

    May 7, 2024 at 5:02 pm

Apparently SAS hasn’t been paying attention to Wemby’s appeal many players currently FAs and who will be want to go to SA and play with him

  13. @elirane85

    May 7, 2024 at 5:11 pm

“I can’t recall any big time agent wanting to end up in San Antonio”. Oh Shannon, I have news for you, it might have been true in the past, but right now there is a line of stars or even super-stars who would sell their mom to play with Wemby. It’s more about whether the Spurs wants them or not.

  14. @MovieFanZ89

    May 7, 2024 at 6:09 pm

The only way that will happen is if SA is a top 4 seed in the west. SA had 2nd worst record in the league

SAS has always been a spurs hater.

Spurs are a professional organization with a history of success. You don’t think they’ll figure it out better than say 75% of other teams? They opened their crazy cliff top state of the art practice and medical complex the same summer they got Victor. They’re purchasing land downtown that’ll revitalize the San Antonio economy when they have a new arena by 2028. San Antonio fans were patient during the rebuild and I’m confident the Holts, RC, BW and Pop won’t let them down.

Seems like the TEAM is the most proven aspect of the equation. If you don’t think he will have the talent around him, then really you’re doubting R.C. Buford, Pop and Brian Wright. What more do they have to do to prove their skill? And to a Knicks fan? Thats either ironic or flat out sad.

  23. @sensei_...

    May 8, 2024 at 5:18 am

He should 100% win dpoy this year, rudy gober getting his case carried by a great defensive supportin cast. Wemby is vetter in every i dividual statistic

    May 8, 2024 at 10:25 am

Has Stephen A gone to speech therapy yet to learn how to say Wemby’s name?

  25. @jamiethomas5849

    May 8, 2024 at 10:41 am

All he needs is better point guard play. Most times his guards looked away from him when he was clearly open because of his size
