SGA should’ve been MVP last year & should be the favorite this year as well. However, I know the IST Championship game didn’t count towards either team’s records, but guarantee if OKC had won that game, their fans would be claiming/boasting how they’re actually on a 15-game win streak. It’s like Devin Haney saying he’s still undefeated because the Ryan Garcia fight is ruled a ‘no contest’ now, but we all know & saw he got whooped just like the OKC did. Lmao

His only argument was seed bro, and he literally had a tied record with the #2 so even that argument wasn’t very good

He would be deserving this year but not last year

    • @J-Hue

      January 4, 2025 at 12:04 am

He did last year. His team just struggled, being so young. That said, I’m not fully sold that the supporting cast is ready this year. Time will tell, but instead trading for Caruso who’s been largely a non-factor and then payinf him 20 mil a year. A Jerami Grant type player who could have an impact like Bridges would’ve gon a long way for them.

    • @patwick4120

      January 4, 2025 at 12:45 am

@@J-Hue Caruso’s playoff experience is needed for this young team. I think thats the reason he’s paid 20 mil a year.

    • @J-Hue

      January 4, 2025 at 1:26 am

      @patwick4120
He isn’t a Kyle Lowry or Chris Paul who’s coaching guys up nonstop on the sidelines, though. Lowry and Paul aren’t even making 11 mil and have way better playoff experience to hand off. It’s still a major overpay, if they’re planning on keeping him.

Also, LA’s bubble expierience is so far removed from a regular playoff experience, the value is hardly worrh what a normal title run woukd be worth.

Honestly would like to see Shai take more shot attempts. I just watched Jokic take like 30 FGA for 37 pts in 3 quarters and people praise him for it. Like seriously, If Shai shot the ball at that pace, Dude could EASILY top his current career high of 45. Maybe that will get some people’s attention, Dude is KILLING it on a 14 game win streak, By far best in the west, Maybe the league, And somehow people are still discussing MVP like it’s between Jokic and Giannis.

      January 4, 2025 at 12:02 am

There are nights where he should really go for it and empty the clip to send a message. Tonight, he did right. But, I would like to see him go for it more on some nights. His coach could also give him a little more burn at times.

    • @butterschunkmcdonalds5333

      January 4, 2025 at 12:22 am

@@RealMrSmile It’s not as difficult for Jokic because he’s 6’11 284 pounds. He’s got the size to play up on any big. If Jokic was Shai height, Obviously he’d struggle twice as hard against someone as giant as Wemby, And if Shai was Jokic height, The league would be COOKED.

@bmillersince92  you mean Doncic ? By becoming the first NBA player to average at least 33 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists per game. As for SGA, he lacked Jokic’s statistical breadth, particularly in rebounding and and ecially playmaking. Jokic dominated advanced stats like win shares and value over replacement player (VORP), showcasing his efficiency and versatility
