Garza can play, he might be a defensive liability but his offensive game and hustle is gonna get him playing time.

Just checked Garza’s summer league stats for Nevada. He’s currently rocking 13.5 ppg, over 8 rebounds, 2 assists, more than a block, 85% from the line, 42+% from three, and 52+% from the field. All at 20 minutes per game. Happy he’s performing so well after everyone basically shit on him.

I watched this at Thomas&Mack live and I gotta say despite how Garza is putting up a nice stack of numbers for stats he felt really slow during the entire game. I mean props to him Lee, and Bey for stepping up when Cade was wearing pajamas and flip flops but he needs to speed up his movements more if he wants to be a big time center in today’s NBA.

its about getting more experience. guys like him, jokic, gasol, those slower bigs learn to think ahead of a play to compensate for lack of athleticism. it took those guys a few years so dont be surprised if in 3 years or so hes a really good starter
