I can see Jordan Hawkins turning into the Pels #1/#2 option as a mid range/perimeter killer in a few years i.e. Rip Hamilton, and Reggie Miller. He’ll need some devastating screen setters like Sheed and Ben Wallace was for Rip but he’s got a bright future either way.

Man Blazers are sneakily having a deep roster. If Timelord and Sharpe come back healthy they should be a fun team to watch. If only they had a competent coach.

forreal. I just think of Giannis and what hes doing with his shot (besides his free throws. Those need a lot more work). But his mid range is getting kinda deadly. If Zion had even just a mid shot game, it would make a huge impact.

Paul Allen enjoyed the team’s success because, iirc during his cancer treatments, he enjoyed being able to take time and commit it to watching the Blazers. He was pretty hands-on as an owner, always pushing for the latest innovations and best rosters. Under his ownership, Portland made like 20+ playoffs in a row and they had competitive teams that lost to prime MJ and were cheated by refs against the Lakers to send LA to the finals for ratings.
I don’t know, but I heard in his will he wanted the team sold. I was all for Phil Knight because I think he would care, owning a sports company, but with how fast values rise and the media deals to be made I imagine greed triumphs because pathos>ethos+logos. In this case the passion is to secure a better position in life. May be for a noble reason, idk.

Blazer’s will be back in 2 more seasons. Plenty of depth imo and alot of youngsters that will develop
