Pascal Siakam is so good this year, he could win Most Improved Player again | The Jump

Published

Rachel Nichols, Amin Elhassan and Chiney Ogwumike break down the state of the Toronto Raptors, who have had an impressive start to 2019-20 despite Kawhi Leonard leaving for the LA Clippers in 2019 NBA free agency. They’re also dealing with Kyle Lowry’s injury, thanks to some surprising bench performances (especially vs. the Los Angeles Lakers), and another step forward from reigning Most Improved Player Award winner Pascal Siakam.

I think espn is pathetic, Toronto wins the championship and we still barely get talked about. Our best player left so that means we’re not a playoff team??? Come on now, and now we beat the blazing hot “best team in the nba” with the “best player in the nba” and that gets pushed off like it’s not a big deal. Do we gotta won this championship too to get any respect? Not to mention we got barely any nationally televised games this year being the DEFENDING CHAMPIONS. Dirk still got talked about the year after they won and barely did anything the next season. I get that it’s all for clicks and views and trying to get new viewers to like espn and the hosts but come on, show some respect to Toronto

If he keeps it up, SGA will probably nab most improved. He is up 12 points per game from last year.

ESPN is absolute garbage. If Siakam was on any other team he would be talked about as in the MVP race. This is straight bias against the only Canadian team. The Raptors are the defending NBA Champions, on pace to contend for the title again, and Siakam is absolutely dominating.

Chiney was spot on on Toronto’s development and scouting. They’ve been second to none.

Since Kawhi Leonard, Pascal Siakam has gotten alot better as a player, which he managed to did his final layup just to beat The Lakers, even LeBron and AD.
