The Indiana Pacers mounted an incredible comeback in the 4th quarter, at one point down 15 points, they managed to rally back and in the end it was Tyrese Haliburton who once again put the team ahead late! This is the FIFTH time this postseason that the Pacers have rallied from a 15+ point deficit, which is the MOST by any team in the playoffs since 1998! They also have become just the third team in NBA Playoffs history to rally from a 15 point deficit in the 4th quarter, joining the 2011 Dallas Mavericks and the 1992 Chicago Bulls. Haliburton’s shot to put the team ahead with 0.3 seconds remaining put Tyrese in the history books, as that marks the FIFTH time this playoff run where he has made a go-ahead, game-winning or game-tying shot within the last 30 seconds of the 4th quarter or in overtime, the most of ANY player in NBA Playoff history! The record was formerly held by Ray Allen in his 2009 run, with four made shots of that variety.

The Pacers defeated the Thunder, 111-110 tonight in Oklahoma City. Pascal Siakam led the way for the Pacers with 19 points on 7-15 from the field (1-2 from 3) to go along with 10 rebounds and 3 assists. For the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a team-high 38 points on 14-30 from the field (3-6 from 3). The Pacers lead the series 1-0.

What if Caruso and Wallace had double-teamed Haliburton at the end?
Caruso moved toward the rim to box out for a potential rebound, giving Haliburton more space.
Haliburton took advantage of that space and finished the play with a two-pointer.
In the end, it was a defensive failure.

In my view, Caruso is forced to move in that way because of Siakam, who goes to the dunker spot.. if they double team, Haliburton finds Pascal and it’s an easier shot.. checkmate

It’s kinda like when Hulk Hogan fights… he’s down in the beginning, getting the shlt kicked out of em… but he doesn’t give up!!! No, never give up!!! He’s gotta grind! Gotta stay in there.. But he needs the crowd to help energize him. He’s hoping for that extra strength to help him get thru the adversity! He looks at the crowd, he waves his hand, asking for more noise… he breaks out of the choke hold!!! He hits em, he slaps em back, he kicks em, he slams em… he starts to fight better than ever!!! It’s a miracle!!! he starts to comeback and make every single shot now!!! swishing em all! The referees help on a few borderline calls, he drop kicks the other guy in the FACE!!! He punches em in the nuts! he pins em down with only 1 second left on the clock!!!! He WINS!!! He actually did it!!! He’s a real Fukkin LEGEND!! Wooo HOOOOOO!!!

That was the wrong lineup for OKC in the fourth quarter with less than 7 minutes to go. They didn’t have their big men to block shots and grab rebounds. They should have kept, at least, one of them in.
